Job Summary
Junior Palantir Foundry Ontology Engineer on Booz Allen’s Defense Technology team. Translate mission problems into technical architectures, build and maintain production-grade data pipelines using Foundry’s Code Repositories and Pipeline Builder, design and maintain ontologies and operational workflows, troubleshoot and optimize pipelines, and work directly with clients to gather requirements and iterate prototypes. Implement engineering best practices including version control, testing, and documentation. Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Travel to client sites for workshops, deployment activities, or embedded support. Requires 1+ years of software/data/platform engineering, Python or TypeScript, Foundry experience, ontology design, ability to engage with stakeholders, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a technology field
- 1+ years of experience in software, data, or platform engineering
- Experience in Python or TypeScript, and Palantir Foundry
- Experience with Data Connections, Code Repos, or Pipeline Builders for data ingestion and transformation
- Ontology design and management experience
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
