Job Summary
Painter role in CorroCote department responsible for preparing products and applying CorroCote coating for protection of direct-embedded structural steel, transmission poles, and cellular towers. Duties include cleaning and setup of paint/corrocote application system, operating equipment safely, performing quality checks, ensuring spray nozzles and equipment are well-maintained, adjusting valves to regulate pressure and throughput, applying coating to large parts, inspecting finished parts for conformance, and adhering to EPA containment requirements. Requires minimum six months painting/corrocote experience, ability to read shop drawings, teamwork, safety compliance, and ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, stooping, reaching). Required Qualifications
- Minimum six months experience in painting or corrocoting large metal items such as poles.
- The ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
- The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
- The ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people
- Must understand containment requirements as established by the EPA and the company
- Must be able to work in noisy, high-temperature conditions
- Repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs. on occasion), stooping, reaching, pulling, standing, pushing, and grasping are required
