Job Summary
Apply powder coating to products on a moving paint line using handheld spray equipment. Read work orders, paint codes, and production instructions while inspecting parts before and after painting to ensure quality standards. Monitor coverage for defects like light paint or contamination, adjust equipment for consistency, and clean all paint tools and work areas. Safely handle materials, wear required PPE including Tyvek suits and respirators, and assist other departments as production needs require. This role involves standing for most of the 2nd shift in a manufacturing environment with temperatures that vary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for most of the shift
- Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements
- Ability to use handheld spray equipment throughout the shift
- Good vision, depth perception, balance, and coordination
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to successfully complete and pass a respirator medical evaluation
