Job Summary
Prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion of painting, carpentry, drywall patching, taping, texturing, caulking, and general maintenance. Smooth and prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, and removing old paint, then fill cracks with putty or caulk before taping, floating, and texturing walls and ceilings. Apply paint using brushes, spray guns, or rollers to walls, floors, doors, and cabinets, while covering surfaces with drop cloths and removing fixtures prior to work. Maintain service records, adhere to policies, and handle problems professionally in residents' homes. Requires flexibility for overtime, weekend work, and cross-training in other maintenance areas.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of multifamily/residential experience
- At least 2 years of painting experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing duties
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to present a professional appearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have the ability to work overtime when required
- Must be flexible regarding available lunchtimes
- May have to perform occasional weekend work if required
- Must be knowledgeable of pertinent laws and applicable regulations including, but not limited to EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and Freon
