Job Summary
Painter performs all refinish repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, focusing on quality, timeliness, and safety. Duties include planning refinish work per specifications, tape/sand/prep, mix paints to specifications, sanding/masking/unmasking/finish painting/seal/touch up, adjusting paint equipment for proper spray patterns, knowledge of OEM standards for top coat application and curing/blending formulas, identifying and correcting runs or overspray, inspecting completed work, complying with safety standards, and performing related duties such as washing cars and cleaning the shop.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of related experience
- I-CAR certified preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must lift 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to read service and repair manuals
