Job Summary
Clean, prepare, and paint boilers and parts while mixing products and performing functions with little supervision. Mask areas not to be painted, inspect parts prior to painting, and ensure acceptable quality of finish. Follow procedures for a lasting paint surface, proper chemical storage, and equipment maintenance. Mix and spray all products used, keeping the work area and paint booth clean. Perform routine maintenance on paint equipment and other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be capable of following verbal and/or written instructions
- Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
- Able to work from ladders and scaffolding
- Able to bend, stoop, twist and squat
- Must be able to work in semi-awkward positions
- Working knowledge of and proper use of all safety equipment
- Must have knowledge of MSDS information as it pertains to chemicals and paints and know where they are located
- Ability to retain information with regard to chemicals and paint materials
- No allergic reactions to paint, dust, or other related paint materials
- Be able to determine the proper surface condition for acceptance of paint and prepare if required
- Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint
