Painter Specialty

Painter Specialty responsible for planned and corrective maintenance of the hospital building’s interior and exterior surfaces. Applies paints, varnishes, stains, wall coverings and other finishes to decorate and protect surfaces, with surface prep and coating application using brushes, rollers, scrapers, and heat sources. Reads blueprints and specifications, coordinates with other hospital trade sections, and installs/updates hospital signage. Requires overtime eligibility and ability to work extended hours to meet priorities, with emphasis on safety, proper cleaning of tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Engages in safety training, adheres to exposure control plans, and supports a professional, collaborative department environment while performing related duties as assigned.
