Job Summary
Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers. Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, or using water solvents, and cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials. Coordinate with management to modify paint colors and ensure inventory systems, safety data sheets, and tools are maintained. Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required training while maintaining a clean, professional appearance. Work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to paint all areas of the shopping center inside and outside as directed by property management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years painting experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions
- Ability to effectively present information to departmental management, employees, tenants, and outside contacts
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Ability to define problems, collect information and establish facts
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Capability to diagnose problems on equipment
- Knowledge of basic painting procedures
- Knowledge of safety rules, hazards and application of accident prevention measures
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Technical School certifications and/or training preferred
