Job Summary
Select and mix coating paints to desired colors while preparing and cleaning spraying equipment. Operate the blaster to clean steel according to safety requirements and apply touchups, second coats, and various finishes including varnish and enamel. Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting and remove paint splatters when finished. Maintain proper respirator care and breathing air supply systems while adhering to technical documents and productivity rates. Work Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed, standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs in a warehouse or shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Background check
- Drug screen

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- Must be able to work various shifts
- Must be able to work OT as necessary
- Willingness to take direction from area lead
- Be a self-starter
- Be capable of reading and understanding technical documents
- Have the ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques
- Meet company productivity rates
- Maintain mil thickness
- Learn all aspects of job as required
- Be capable of maintaining sprayer equipment
- Be capable of cleaning spraying equipment
- Be capable of using solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions
- Be capable of operating the blaster
