Operate painting machines to apply primer and finish coatings, prepare metal surfaces for paint, and manage the blast booth for surface preparation. Pours paint into spray guns, mixes and thins coatings, and selects materials per color charts. Strips rust and grease using abrasives, solvents, and sandblasters, then sets up ventilators, exhaust units, and scaffolding. Operates lifting devices to move equipment, cleans sprayers and tools, and transports parts to the paint area. Follows the paint lead's schedule, performs daily safety checks, maintains PPE, and manages shot blast media levels while adhering to waste management procedures. Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs., and physical stamina for 8+ hours of standing, bending, and crawling.
