Job Summary
Apply primer, paint, and touch-up coatings using spray equipment and brushes while masking and unmasking parts to meet specifications. Prepare surfaces by sanding, washing, and conditioning; perform light bodywork if needed. Disassemble, clean, and maintain painting equipment including pumps, heaters, tanks, and guns. Mix paints for color accuracy, viscosity, and consistency; perform titrations and adjust chemicals as needed. Inspect work before, during, and after painting to ensure quality standards including mil and gloss checks. Transport parts and materials using tuggers, forklifts, or manual carts. Maintain a clean and organized work area while performing preventive maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of painting experience in automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment settings
- Strong math skills
- basic mechanical aptitude
- Able to wear a respirator
- pass a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site
