Job Summary
Paint interior and exterior surfaces of furniture, equipment, and buildings under district supervision. Prepare surfaces for painting, apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, and match colors. Erect scaffolding and rigging, protect areas with drop cloths, and perform graffiti removal. Operate a variety of machines (spray guns, air compressors, pressure washers, texture machines, sand blasters, disk sanders, tape machines) and carry out quality control inspections of contracted services. Safely operate a district fleet vehicle to travel to job sites and maintain it in good condition. Work under the direction of the Supervisor, Maintenance Operations I to support Board of Education policies and district maintenance operations.

- High attention to safety and compliance with state, federal, and local laws
- Ability to prepare surfaces for painting and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Ability to operate spray guns, air compressors, pressure washers, texture machines, sand blasters, disk sanders, and taping machines
- Ability to erect scaffolding and rigging and to manage drop cloths
- Experience in graffiti removal and paint matching
- Ability to safely operate a district fleet vehicle and comply with driving policies
- Perform quality control inspections of contracted services
- Ability to perform related work as assigned
