Painter

Painter/maintenance role responsible for responding to guest repair requests and coordinating with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment, visually inspects machinery, carries equipment, and operates shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintains maintenance inventory, requisitions parts, and communicates daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved standards. Demonstrates basic knowledge in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry/finish work, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building skills. Performs surface preparation, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of work areas. Tests and troubleshoots equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items; programs TVs and handles general housekeeping/engineering inventory duties. Follows Lockout/Tagout procedures, performs interior/exterior landscaping repairs, and uses computers to input schedules and adjust temperatures. Adheres to safety policies, reports hazards, completes safety training, and protects company assets. Communicates professionally with guests, supports team goals, assists individuals with disabilities as needed, and maintains a clean, professional appearance. Must be able to move objects <=50 pounds (heavier tasks with assistance), navigate stairs and ladders, and perform other reasonable duties. Education: High school diploma or GED; related maintenance/painting experience preferred; Driver’s License required.
