Painter/Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and painting tasks to keep buildings within the Mass General Brigham network in safe, compliant condition. Responsibilities include responding to emergency and routine repairs, operating and maintaining mechanical equipment, replacing lights and nurse call lights, repairing beds and patient equipment, maintaining temperature control devices, sinks and toilets, completing painting services per guidelines, documenting repairs and parts usage, implementing preventative maintenance per OSHA requirements, ensuring safety equipment/tools are in working order, and providing assistance to various trades for installation, maintenance or basic repair of equipment, piping, electric, HVAC systems, and other duties per department standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma
- Experience 1-2 years in related trades
- Section 608 Technician Certification - EPA preferred
- Able to operate and maintain mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of safe maintenance practices
- Good verbal, written and electronic communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning new software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
