Job Summary
Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, and enamel to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets while filling cracks, holes, and joints with appropriate fillers. Prepare walls by sanding, priming, and sealing before painting, then apply multiple coats according to directions. Remove fixtures, tape off work areas, and clean walls to ensure proper adherence. Cover furnishings with protective materials, move equipment as needed, and remove paint splatters upon completion. Clean brushes, spray guns, and the work area thoroughly. Work on ladders to reach high ceilings, maintain a safe environment, and ensure rooms are ready on time for admissions and transfers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or ability to pass Tabe skills test
- Current, valid and clean driver's license
- Ability to work flexible schedule and rotating weekends
- Proficient with email and work order systems, with the ability to learn new software
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, see, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work in awkward and confining positions or on a ladder for extended periods of time
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force with assistance, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside in hot or cold conditions
- Ability to complete projects on time and on budget
- Detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to follow instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding or ladders
