Job Summary
Prepare aircraft wheel hubs and brake units for painting, including paint removal using approved equipment and methods. Apply approved paint products in accordance with paint specifications, work instructions, and maintenance manuals. Follow company procedures, Component Maintenance Manuals, Standard Practice Manuals, and other operational documentation. Ensure accurate process paperwork, parts control, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Maintain a high standard of workmanship through strong attention to detail and quality-focused execution. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to all health, safety, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and documentation to meet customer requirements
- General knowledge of precision measuring tools, blasting equipment, cleaning machinery, and assembly/disassembly processes
- Experience working in a technical or production environment with a willingness to learn new skills and processes
- Comfortable using computer-based work processing systems and operational software
- A detail-oriented team player with strong manual dexterity, a proactive mindset, and a safety-first approach to work
Desired Qualifications
- Previous paint sprayer experience
- Relevant experience in the aviation industry, automotive industry or in a technical production environment
