Job Summary
Painter II is an entry-level role responsible for performing powder‐coating and surface‐preparation tasks to finish parts according to company and customer specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES include setting and operating coating systems (spray guns, booths, ovens) while monitoring performance; applying and curing powder coatings, verifying cure times/temperatures, and ensuring coating integrity; inspecting finished parts using visual checks, first-piece inspections, and film-thickness gauges; supporting production flow by loading/unloading parts and performing material-handling tasks; following company policies and pursuing quality through Kelvion’s standards and code of ethics. Requires ability to wear a respirator and to pass a PFT; must have HS diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of powder coating experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 – 2 years of powder coating experience
- Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
- Must be able to wear respirator
- Ability to understand powder‐coating steps including surface preparation and proper application technique
- Ability to set and adjust coating equipment such as spray guns, booths, and ovens to meet process requirements
- Ability to set and adjust equipment settings for spray guns, booths, and ovens
- Ability to perform surface‐prep tasks using required tools and equipment such as media‐blasting equipment or grinders
