Job Summary
Plan and execute painting, refinishing, and surface repair projects across facility structures, furniture, and equipment. Prepare work areas by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and masking surfaces before applying paint, paper, or wall coverings. Manage supply inventory and maintain stained, varnished, and grouted surfaces while adhering to OSHA/MSDS guidelines and hazardous chemical protocols. Thoroughly clean all areas, supplies, and equipment upon project completion. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays in a deadline-oriented environment, managing work orders via technology systems. Valid driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a professional painter
- Must be able to work flexible schedules which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to use systems and technology to manage work orders
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to use step ladders, extension ladders, and 6ft scaffolding
Desired Qualifications
- Private club, hotel or resort experience preferred
- Experience in the construction field is a plus
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
- Certifications and training in painting is a plus
