Job Summary
Review work orders to verify product matches and paint requirements, then inspect prepped surfaces for cleanliness, damage, or non-conformance before wiping to remove oil and dirt. Prepare painting equipment and paint products to specified standards, conducting wet mil checks for proper thickness. Maintain equipment by cleaning guns, lubricating pumps, and changing filters, while recording all data on sheets. Secure the paint area at shift end by locking doors and bleeding air tanks. Receive paint shipments by verifying bills of lading and checking for damage. Use prescribed PPE and stop immediately to resolve any substandard issues. Maintain a clean working area and continue increasing knowledge through internal and external support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Forklift License
- Pulmonary Test Certification
- Mask Fit Certification
- Ability to regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to frequently walk; reach with hands and arms and climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to occasionally sit and talk or hear
