Job Summary
Place items on feed racks, spindles, or reel stands to coat, paint, or spray using hands, hoists, or truck lifts. Clean parts and weldments with water, solvents, and other aids. Prepare parts for the paint booth by sanding, caulking, and masking. Operate paint booth spray equipment and ovens, determining paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspections. Manually spray parts and weldments with primer and top coat paints. Start and stop machine operations using levers or buttons. Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints. Record paint film thickness. Comply with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations. High school diploma or GED required with six months to two years of related experience. Forklift experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Six months to two years of related experience
- Must be able to frequently stoop/bend
- Must be able to regularly use hands and arms/reach overhead
- Must be able to regularly stand and walk
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work at a height of 15 feet on occasion
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
- Must successfully pass a background check, pre-employment physical examination, and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience a plus
- Previous training in identifying and properly disposing of hazardous materials preferred
