Job Summary
Experienced painting subcontractor needed for residential and commercial projects in Saskatoon. Responsibilities include inspecting surfaces, preparing primers/paints/finishes, masking/protecting, applying paint with brush/roller/spray, surface preparation (masking, scraping, sanding, pressure-washing), repairing minor damage, mixing/thinning paint, erecting scaffolding, loading/unloading tools, ensuring health and safety, maintaining a tidy work site, and collaborating with customers, contractors, and the Production Supervisor. Communicate with customers regularly, participate in meetings, and deliver high-quality workmanship. Requires 3 years of professional painting experience, high school diploma or GED preferred, valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, own tools, ability to lift and climb, strong customer service, leadership and time management, attention to detail, and a willingness to work as part of a team. Drywall skill is an asset; Commercial Liability Insurance and WCB in good standing are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3 years of professional painting experience
- Experience on commercial and residential painting projects
- Knowledge of painting techniques and tools
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation
- Own a vehicle to transport tools and crew members
- Able to sit, stand, kneel, lift, climb ladders
- Customer service oriented and friendly
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- Great attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Drywall skill is a huge asset
- Commercial Liability Insurance and WCB in good standing
