Job Summary
Apply primers and paints to mechanical parts using spray guns and hand tools, preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper adhesion. Mix paints and additives in specified ratios, then inspect finished products for uniformity and specification compliance, touching up as needed. Operate cranes, forklifts, and hand tools to manipulate heavy parts, while maintaining paint booths, conveyor systems, and spray equipment including filter replacements and gun disassembly. Keep daily records and logs, ensuring all measurement tools are calibrated and work areas remain organized in adherence to safety policies. Maintain a clean, safe workspace and contribute to a culture of accountability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years' related experience and/or training
- Good work ethic with the ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere
- Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and specifications
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to climb, squat, and stand for prolonged periods of time
