Job Summary
Sets up and operates machines, such as dippers or sprayers, for coating or painting products in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for selecting and preparing coatings, performing visual inspections, and adjusting machinery settings. Essential duties include mixing and measuring paint, conducting inventory control, ensuring quality through inspection checks, training new employees, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment. Requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate various measuring tools. Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Understand paint mixing and disposal
- Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving abilities
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Understand and obey safety requirements
- Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris
