Job Summary
Inspect parts to determine painting requirements, select and verify appropriate paint per job specifications, and mix paint according to Technical Data Sheets. Prepare surfaces through minor sanding and cleaning, then apply coatings such as epoxy, lacquer, resin, and final color coats to a variety of surfaces and metals using proper techniques. Replace paint booth filters contaminated with chromate or solvents and adhere to safety protocols including the use of PPE and respirators. Coordinate tasks with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and complete assigned tasks within designated time frames. This onsite, full-time role in Lynwood, CA requires a minimum of five years' experience in aircraft painting or aerospace surface processing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in aircraft painting or aerospace surface processing
- Near, peripheral, color, and depth vision
- Ability to hear typical conversations
- Sense of smell and touch
- Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators and protective clothing
