Job Summary
Set up and operate paint application equipment to apply powder to production materials via manual and automatic spraying. Hang components on conveyors, unload painted items, and perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards. Clean powder feeding units, refill equipment, and record usage while reviewing shop specifications for color selection. Touch up minor defects, stack work on pallets, re-identify orders, and deliver materials to the next production department. Comply with safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and report hazards or equipment issues to the team leader. Perform set-up duties, sanding, tacking, and other assigned tasks to meet production schedules and nVent quality specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Powder coat painting experience
- Knowledge of powder coat painting in manufacturing environment
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment
- Skill to utilize the following machines and tools: Material handling equipment: pallet jack, lift tables, wheeled carts, etc.
- Skill to utilize the following machines and tools: Safety equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, etc.
- Skill to utilize the following machines and tools: Hand tools: pliers, hammer, wrench, sockets, files, screw drivers, etc.
- Skill to utilize the following machines and tools: Measurement tools: calipers, scales, go / no-go gauges, etc.
- Skill to utilize the following machines and tools: Fixtures
- Skill to utilize the following machines and tools: Computers
