Job Summary
Paint Technician responsible for supporting Axalta’s Refinish and Value Segment teams by training and assisting collision shop customers in the Economy Segment with paint and coating applications, product performance troubleshooting, demonstrations, and technical support. Duties include maintaining expert knowledge of Axalta brands, training painters and automotive professionals, diagnosing and resolving application issues, conducting product training sessions, ensuring safety practices and PPE usage, fostering customer relationships, coordinating with the Economy Segment Sales team, and traveling up to 75% to on-site customer locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years body shop operations background
- Hands-on expertise with automotive paint & collision repair products
- Certification or training in collision repair (refinish or paint application) preferred
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time
- Valid Driver’s License required
