Job Summary

Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by verifying masking, sanding primer, scuffing, cleaning, and performing solvent wipe-downs. Mix paints, primers, and coatings per manufacturer specifications, then apply primer, base coats, and topcoats using proper spray techniques to achieve high-quality, durable finishes. Layout paint schemes, measure and apply striping, accurately mask aircraft for trim colors, and perform aircraft detailing and final finish work. Inspect completed paintwork and identify defects to ensure compliance with quality standards and FAA regulations. Safely operate and maintain paint equipment, spray guns, and sanding tools while maintaining a clean, organized, and contamination-free environment. Collaborate with Leads, Supervisors, and maintenance personnel to complete projects safely and on schedule, adhering to all OSHA safety requirements and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Valid driver's license
  • US Passport
  • At least 5-10 years current corporate jet experience, stripping, sanding, priming and painting corporate or commercial aircraft
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Pass pulmonary physical prior to employment
  • Pass respiratory fit test
  • Ability to see and hear clearly
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly
  • Ability to regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must have regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed
  • Must be able to work unsupervised

  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with Lead Painters, Supervisors, and other maintenance personnel
  • Must be able to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lead, Manager, or Supervisor
  • Must be able to adhere to all relevant procedures

  • Must be able to undergo a PFT (pulmonary function test)
  • Must be able to follow FAA regulations
