Job Summary
Set up and operate powder coat equipment to apply paint to products, adjusting conveyor speeds, temperature, and air pressure per engineering specifications. Troubleshoot equipment problems, perform preventative maintenance, and inspect coated items for coverage and thickness using viscometers. Conduct color changeovers, clean booths to prevent cross-contamination, and record operational data to track efficiency and downtime. Assist operators, train others, and maintain a clean work area while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications to properly select parts
- Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection
- Good mechanical skills including the use of hand tools
- Good troubleshooting skills such that, after a reasonable training period, the employee will be able to evaluate operational problems of the equipment and know the proper corrective actions
- Ability to read and understand equipment operating, maintenance, and troubleshooting manuals
- Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to wear a respirator which is a required PPE
- Lift up to 40 lbs

Desired Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year of related experience strongly preferred
