Job Summary
Conduct daily paint sales, including tinting, product recommendations, and order preparation, while instructing customers on product use and handling quotes, purchase orders, and cancellations. Manage inventory by stocking shelves, maintaining the paint counter, and updating customer files. Operate a company vehicle to drive through Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland counties, pre-load vans, pre-route deliveries, and ensure vehicle safety and maintenance. Draft purchase orders and invoices, confirm credit status, and resolve customer complaints. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license and clean driving record
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to speak and write English
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering system
- Ability to safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Positive/friendly attitude
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as necessary
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures with prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, crouching, squatting, loading and unloading truck or van
- Must be able to lift-up to 60lbs
- Must be able to answer phones
- Must be able to assist any customers
- Must be able to take out the trash
- Must be able to clean where needed
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the local area, including Westchester, Putnam, Rockland counties, and the 5 boroughs
- Familiarity with routine vehicle maintenance
- Paint/sundry product knowledge
- Bi-lingual (Spanish)
