Job Summary
Lead and mentor the Paint Process Engineering team to develop, maintain, and improve paint processes while ensuring cycle time, yield, utilization, and quality targets are met. Provide daily technical direction for new launch tools and support program launches from planning through implementation. Drive process trials, quality validations, and engineering trials for new materials, tooling, and machinery. Track department performance against business plan targets, create weekly reporting on yield and utilization trends, and implement corrective measures where required. Conduct audits for 5S, safety, and process control while collaborating cross-functionally to address operational concerns and drive cost savings.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a university degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
- Five or more years' of related experience in engineering, paint process, or process engineering
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Strong knowledge of paint processes, production tooling, automated robotic manufacturing processes, and related equipment
- Previous experience with OEM paint processes
- Experience in data analysis, financial analysis, reporting, and performance tracking
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and support team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact cross functionally
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, conflicting demands, and deadlines
- Advanced computer skills, including the ability to analyze data and prepare reports/presentations
- Self-starter with the ability to manage and execute projects independently
- Results-oriented and team-focused with a willingness to support operational needs as required
- Ability to manage onsite contractors as required
- Must be flexible to work shifts as required
- Must have demonstrated good work habits for a period of not less than six months in present job, where applicable
