Job Summary
Clean, degrease, mask, media blast, and chemically strip aircraft components for painting in accordance with approved drawings and regulatory requirements. Inspect parts before, during, and after preparation to verify quality standards and identify defects. Support shop operations by maintaining clean work areas, organizing equipment, and restocking supplies while adhering to all safety procedures and PPE mandates. Collaborate with painters and technicians to meet production schedules and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or awkward spaces when required
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical documentation, drawings, and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to safety and quality
- Continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and developing new technical skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in paint preparation, industrial painting, media blasting, automotive refinishing, manufacturing, aerospace, or a related industry
