Job Summary
Load paint lines safely to maximum capacity per daily production requirements, prep unfinished parts for final topcoat, and download painted parts ensuring correct identification and delivery to maintain inventory accuracy. Inspect parts at the unload station for quality defects and pack them to ensure customer arrival in good condition. Adapt to all duties including load, prep, unload, material handling, and painting while following OSHA safety regulations and wearing prescribed protective equipment. This 1st shift role runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime on Fridays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and tape measure, when needed
- Ability to follow inventory control procedures
- Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a fast-paced environment
- Have a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong team player
- Capable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be goal-oriented
- Must be collaborative
- Must be available for overtime on Fridays
- Must work Monday through Thursday
- Must work from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Must wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
- Must follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Previous paint experience
- Some forklift experience
- Experience handling large parts
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Familiar with AS400
