Paint Operations Assistant - Weekend Shift

Job Summary
Prepare equipment, materials, and work areas for industrial painting operations by cleaning, washing, masking, taping, caulking, and hanging parts. Load and unload components onto paint racks, operate pressure washing equipment, and safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Wear required personal protective equipment, including a respirator, while preparing and cleaning metal surfaces to OEM quality standards. Re-tap threaded holes, perform surface preparation, assist with disassembly and minor repairs, and conduct touch-up work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, follow all safety policies, and support continuous improvement efforts. Work the Friday–Sunday 5:00 AM–5:30 PM shift at the Price, Utah facility.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of at least the 10th grade
- Valid driver's license
- Regularly lift up to 20 pounds
- Frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds
- Occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, standing, and other physical tasks throughout the workday on concrete flooring
- Ability to read and understand safety procedures, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and work instructions
- Ability to complete routine reports and written documentation
- Effective verbal communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and other team members
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and simple graph interpretation
- Ability to solve practical problems using sound judgment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow written, verbal, diagram-based, and scheduled work instructions
- Basic computer skills sufficient to accurately record time and labor transactions
- Must successfully complete a Pulmonary Function Test and be able to wear a respirator as required
- Commitment to following all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
- Ability to safely operate and work around industrial equipment and moving machinery
- Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequent use of hands for handling materials and tools, along with reaching, climbing, balancing, and effective hearing and verbal communication
- Regular standing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and similar physical movements
- Employees must be available to work their assigned 40-hour schedule, along with overtime or additional hours when business needs require
- Any employment offer is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Up to one month of related work experience or training is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- OSHA Forklift and Overhead Crane certifications are preferred, or the ability to successfully obtain certification after hire
