Job Summary
Operate large versator, small versator, or all mills, and multiple equipment including drum dumper, fork truck, manual jack, and power jack. Mix, mill, de-aerate, pump, and perform quality control on paint and related products. Clean machinery and drums, and enter data into the ERP system. Use a respirator for safety. Work 1st shift in New Berlin. Requires high school diploma, 1-3 years experience with safety equipment, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand on concrete.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus additional computer training
- Ability to operate and be efficient in at least two of the following: large versator, small versator, or all mills, and multiple pieces of equipment, including drum dumper, fork truck, manual jack, power jack, etc.
- Ability to operate the bulk mixer
- Ability to efficiently perform all processes, which may consist of mixing, milling, de-aerating, pumping, and quality control of paint and related products
- Ability to perform general cleaning of machinery and drums
- Ability to enter data into the ERP system
- Ability to use a respirator
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete surface for continuous periods
- Ability to climb on/off a platform with steps as high as 23"
- Ability to reach from below the waist to waist and shoulder heights, occasionally overhead
- Ability to bend occasionally to frequently, possibly sustained
- Ability to squat occasionally to frequently
- Ability to push/pull moderate to heavy (70 lbs force) occasionally to frequently, and light (25 lbs force) frequently
- Ability to twist occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs 5-gallon pails frequently, from 11' to 23' high, stacking at heights from floor to 14 1/2", 29" and 43"
- Ability to lift overhead 20 lbs (empty barrel containers) occasionally
- Ability to carry up to 60 lbs 5-gallon pails frequently
- Ability to grasp/pinch constantly, occasionally combined with torque, including use of hand tools
- Constant visual and auditory acuity to monitor running of machinery and quality of product
- Ability to use a respirator and pass a respirator medical clearance
- Ability to lift 5-gallon pails weighing up to 75 lbs intermittently from floor to waist
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working with equipment requiring the use of safety equipment in an environment where quality was a focus and where all employees were expected to be problem solvers
