Job Summary
Prepare gears and parts for shipment by installing seals, applying grease, and managing bar code scans in the AS400 system. Perform tasks including loading/unloading painted items, masking and unmasking for powder coating, prepping components with shields and retainers, and installing pitman arms. Construct specialty skids for customer shipment and verify torque data while maintaining daily and monthly checklists. Work 8-hour night shifts Sunday through Thursday in a fast-paced environment with moderate heat and noise.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in shipping/receiving in a production/manufacturing environment
- Completion of forklift certification
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
- Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends
