Paint Line Operator

Job Summary
Paint Line Operator will use paint application techniques and equipment to finish interior and exterior surfaces on caskets and components. Responsibilities include identifying proper finishing materials and wood species, inspecting materials for defects, reporting issues, performing staining, shading, sealing, sealer sanding and topcoat finishing with spray guns and pneumatic sanders, operating paint booths and related equipment, masking areas for refinishing, and maintaining safety and waste-disposal practices. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand/bend/twist for extended periods, and read/write English for safety and job responsibilities. Requires a high school diploma or GED; prior industrial paint preparation/application experience preferred; strong organizational, communication, and independent-work skills.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma/GED
- Previous experience in industrial paint preparation and/or application is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Working knowledge of all production equipment and processes
- Good communication skills, team oriented and a self-starter
- Has ability to read, comprehend and write English related to safety and responsibilities
