Job Summary
Assess gel coat conditions, polish and wax surfaces, and apply epoxy to wood or FRP. Perform cosmetic repairs, grind and layup simple laminations, and maintain finishes to industry standards. Operate hand and electric tools while selecting appropriate fiberglass cloths. Adhere to safety protocols, wear personal protection equipment, and ensure quality work meets customer satisfaction standards. Complete assigned tasks efficiently within a 5-day, 8-hour schedule. Must possess knowledge of marine-grade fairing materials and work in tight spaces or at heights up to 30 feet.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license
- 5+ years of experience in fiberglass repair and paint finish application
- Ability to speak and read English
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work comfortably around water
- Ability to work in tight spaces
- Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in fiberglass repair and paint finish application (preferably marine)
