Job Summary
Paint/Color Mixer role reporting to Store Manager. Responsibilities include color matching and mixing paints and specialty coatings for automotive, commercial, and industrial applications; preparing paint orders using standard and custom formulas; maintaining documentation of formulas to ensure color accuracy; providing exceptional customer service; calibrating and maintaining mixing equipment; ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements; assisting with other store duties as needed; and lifting/maneuvering materials as part of daily tasks. Required Qualifications
- Reporting to the Store Manager; color matching and mixing of paints and specialty coatings for automotive, commercial, and industrial purposes
- Mix and match topcoat colors for the aerospace industry
- Manage and maintain documentation of formulas to assure quality and color accuracy
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
- Prepare paint orders, including mixing, utilizing standard formulas and custom formulas
- Calibrate and maintain mixing equipment
- Properly dispose of waste in compliance with Company and Government regulations
- Must have the ability to understand paint pigment variations/characteristics, tinting, and application processes
- Must have acceptable driving record from State Motor Vehicle Bureau; licensed to operate a car or truck
- All training is on-the-job to meet quality standards
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs frequently; 75–100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to operate a lift truck and hand truck
- Must be able to perform duties of other store personnel as assigned
- Work all scheduled hours as needed
- Must be licensed and able to operate vehicle per state law including CDL if required
- Positive safety and regulatory compliance mindset
- Knowledge of color matching for automotive, commercial, and industrial purposes
- Color difference perception and safety equipment usage
