Job Summary
Prepare parts for painting through hand sanding and solvent cleaning, then mix primers and topcoats for application. Assist the Painter in daily activities by laying out and maneuvering parts to ease spray application. Accurately process oven charts, document temperatures, and complete work orders and necessary paperwork. Sweep and clean the paint shop while observing safety regulations, wearing protective masks and clothing. Manage hazardous materials safely by setting up and labeling cubic yard storage boxes in accordance with state and federal regulations. Perform duties under a 2nd shift schedule with a starting rate of $16.90 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree
- Must be able to consistently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs
- Must be able to wear PPE
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
