Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant opportunity in the Neurosciences Department supporting comprehensive pain management services. Responsibilities include global management of pain conditions, conducting thorough patient evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, utilizing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, coordinating referrals to physical therapy and interventional procedures, educating patients and families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling and performing follow-ups, and maintaining accurate documentation compliant with regulations. The role emphasizes collaboration within a large health system and a competitive compensation package with benefits; located at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY (Nuvance/Northwell partnership) with a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies OR Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) OR NCCPA certification
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
