Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant role in the Neurosciences Department at Nuvance Health/Northwell Health-affiliated Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Primary duties include global management of pain conditions, conducting thorough evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, utilizing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, coordinating interventional and referral-based care, educating patients and families on pain management options and coping strategies, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring compliant documentation. Requires master’s-level nursing or PA training, current licensure/certification (NP or NCCPA), and preferred experience in pain management or palliative care; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification required
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
