Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant needed to join the Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Responsibilities include global management of pain conditions, conducting thorough evaluations (medical histories and physicals), developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, utilizing modalities such as medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies, educating patients and families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling follow-ups to monitor efficacy, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies/Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification required
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
