Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant needed to join the Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Global management of patients with pain conditions; conduct thorough evaluations; develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments; utilize pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies; manage medications and refer to physical therapy or interventional procedures; educate patients and families about pain management options and lifestyle modifications; schedule follow-up appointments to monitor efficacy and adjust plans; maintain accurate documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations. M-F schedule; located at Vassar Brothers Medical Center within the Nuvance/Northwell network, with a strong emphasis on comprehensive patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
