Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant responsible for global management of patients with pain conditions, conducting thorough evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, utilizing multimodal pain relief approaches (medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies), educating patients and families about pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling and conducting follow-up to monitor efficacy, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations. The role operates on a Monday-to-Friday schedule at Vassar Brothers Medical Center as part of Nuvance Health/Northwell Health partnership in the Hudson River region.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification
- Experience in pain management, palliative care, or related field preferred; new graduates considered
