Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant sought to join the Neurosciences Department for global management of patients with pain conditions. Responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, utilizing modalities for pain relief (including medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies), educating patients and families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling follow-ups, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations. The role is a Monday–Friday position located at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
