Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant opportunity in the Neurosciences Department at Nuvance Health/Northwell Health affiliate in Poughkeepsie, NY. Responsibilities include global management of pain conditions, conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans combining pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, utilizing modalities such as interventional procedures and referrals (physical therapy, etc.), educating patients and families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling and conducting follow-ups, and maintaining compliant documentation. Eligible for a highly competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits and CME allowances. M-F schedule; located at Vassar Brothers Medical Center with affiliated network resources and potential collaboration with Northwell Health. Qualified applicants must hold an advanced degree (Nurse Practitioner or PA) with licensure/certification and NCCPA as applicable; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification
- Experience in pain management, palliative care, or related field preferred
