Job Summary
Pain Management Physician Assistant role in the Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation of pain conditions, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans integrating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, facilitating interventional procedures, coordinating physical therapy referrals, educating patients and families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling follow-ups, and maintaining compliant documentation. Requires a Master’s degree in Nursing with NP focus or a PA Studies Master’s, and licensure/certification in a relevant specialty or NCCPA certification; previous pain management or palliative care experience preferred. This is a full-time weekday position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
