Job Summary
Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in San Mateo, CA to manage a diverse patient population including workers’ compensation and Medicare cases. Will perform diagnostic evaluations, interventional pain management procedures, and develop tailored care plans combining medication management with alternative therapies. Under the supervision of a pain physician, duties include interviewing/examining patients, interpreting X-rays/MRIs/CTs, documenting care, staying current with guidelines, and maintaining professional knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years or more of clinical experience in pain management
- Graduate of an accredited NP program
- Current and unrestricted NP license in California
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Active and unrestricted DEA license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with workers’ compensation cases is required
- Enrolled as a Medicare FFS provider
