Job Summary
Pain Management Nurse Practitioner sought to join the Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation of patients with pain conditions, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, utilizing modalities such as medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies, educating patients and families on pain management options and lifestyle modifications, scheduling and conducting follow-up appointments, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. The role operates on a Monday-to-Friday schedule and requires a Master's degree in Nursing with NP licensure/certification and relevant clinical experience in pain management or related fields. Compensation is competitive and includes benefits and CME allowances.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies/Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification required
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
