Job Summary
Pain Management Nurse Practitioner sought to join the Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Responsibilities include global management of patients with pain conditions, thorough evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, utilizing modalities such as medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies; educating patients and families; scheduling follow-ups; and maintaining compliant documentation. Requires an NP license/certification in a relevant specialty and a Master’s degree in Nursing with NP focus (or related PA degree), with prior experience in pain management or palliative care preferred; new graduates considered. Location features a hospital setting with a comprehensive care ecosystem and competitive compensation with benefits and CME allowances. Salary range: $120,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with focus on Nurse Practitioner studies OR Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification
